LandSense at ESA Phi Week

The European Space Agency (ESA) hosted the Earth Observation (Phi Week) at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy from 12-16 November, 2018.

The event brought together various stakeholders across the private and public sector in a series of workshops, roundtables, and hackathons to share the latest trends in EO Open Science. Check out the highlights from the event here!

Inian Moorthy (IIASA) presented the LandSense project during a dedicated Citizen Science session chaired by consortium partner Margaret Gold of the European Citizen Science Association. The presentation first provided a short overview of the demonstration cases, and then focused on our Engagement Platform and LandSense Federation. Emphasis on the Single-Sign-On methodology and the GDPR compliance measures were noted and appreciated by the participants in follow-up discussions. We will continue to develop our Engagement Platform for a full public release in Spring 2019! Stay tuned!
